Despite no announcement from Ubisoft, the company has released a Far Cry 6 Game of the Year edition. It includes the base game, all season pass content, all updates, and a new expansion.

With the release of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut also comes a new expansion set on Tsushima’s neighboring Iki Island. Like the base game, this new portion has plenty of collectibles to find, including the ever-useful Bamboo Strikes, which expand Jin’s maximum Resolve–a meter that allows you to heal in battle and execute powerful special abilities.
Since the Iki Island expansion is technically post-release content, it’s a fair bit more difficult than the base game. Speaking to Barron’s, Zampella acknowledged that mergers and acquisitions in 2022 has been a “big trend,” and one that he sees both positives and negatives from. The first Iron Banner of Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph comes with a brand-new PvPvE mode called Fortress. Throughout Destiny, Bungie has included different Crucible modes in Iron Banner, but not with a PvE aspect.
Bungie has diverted from Destiny 2’s traditional Iron Banner Control to include modes like Rift and Eruption in the past, but Fortress is a bit different because it includes brief, intermittent PvE moments. It plays similarly to Zone Control, where you need to neutralize the enemy zones, capture them and protect the zones. You get points for each zone capture, and additional points are added to your team score when the timer refreshes every few seconds–the timer is visible above the zones. This is why Crown London Aspinalls has now decided to go after one of its high rollers, Lester Hui, who raked up almost £600,000 ($730,000) in gambling debt on the night of February 9, 2016. Chinese real estate firm Landing International Development Limited has reportedly released its financial results for 2020 showing that it suffered an overall loss of about $272.65 million owing mainly to a steep coronavirus-related drop in visitation to its giant Jeju Shinhwa World development.

We’ve all been there: right at the end of character creation in the latest big RPG, staring at our choice of character class and wondering which is best. The good news is that there is no best class for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. And I don’t mean that in the wishy washy “pick which class suits your playstyle way,” it’s more genuinely true than most other RPGs.
The Veilguard has done a lot to really cut down on the fundamental differences between warriors, rogues, and mages in The Veilguard. All three, even the mages, have survivability at close range, plenty of AOE, and status effect application. On top of that, your party members are all just AI helpers, and you’re almost always going to be the center of attention in a fight, meaning there’s way less emphasis on party composition and more on making sure your crew brings skills that can apply or detonate the status effects in your own kit.

On January 9, 2024, a now-deleted tweet from @SECGov, the X account of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, declared that the SEC had granted “approval for Bitcoin ETFs for listing on all registered national securities exchanges,” causing the price of Bitcoin to jump by more than $1,000. The SEC, however, had done no such thing. As SEC Chair Gary Gensler tweeted minutes later, the SEC’s X account had been hacked; the fraudulent tweet was posted as part of a scheme to manipulate Bitcoin prices.

Last week, alongside announcing the new Nitro Blaze 7, and a slew of gaming laptops, Acer’s Valerie Piau soured the announcement by linking the aesthetic of its new Nitro V 14 gaming laptop with the rise of “women and casual gamers” in the gaming space.
You can listen to that clip from the conference here. In it, Piau says “Within gamers and gaming, almost half are female, so women and casual gamers are on the rise, and so is the search for a gaming laptop that is not just powerful but also beautiful.”
In this IFA conference intro for the laptop, the implied rationale for explaining why this laptop is good for women and casual gamers is because its white colour is very pretty, and it’s more beautiful as it drops the gamer aesthetic. And this clumsy framing has not gone down well.

There was a time where the idea of a TV or movie adaptation for your favourite game would fill you with dread—but with shows like Castlevania, Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners, Netflix: The Witcher, HBO’s The Last of Us, and Arcane bucking that trend? I think a Deep Rock Galactic show could be pretty damn good.

It’s definitely viable, but we can’t do everything at once … We would want to be involved as well. If we could just say ‘eh, you do it’, and not be involved, then it would happen, but that wouldn’t be the right thing to do.”
It’s an interesting pitch, to be sure. While Deep Rock Galactic isn’t what you’d call story-rich, its moment-to-moment vibes and atmosphere are immaculate. Spin-offs like Castlevania and Edgerunners have told unique stories which either ignore or add canon to their respective games, and a tale of some ale-swigging lads mining the reaches of deep space sounds like a great time.

While the release of Nintendo’s follow up to Breath of the Wild has been exciting enough on its own, its saga in the emulation and modding scene has been an absolute rollercoaster. On May 13, one day after Tears of the Kingdom’s official launch, the developers of Switch emulator Yuzu announced that the game is fully playable, with native Switch-level performance attainable on “most” modern hardware, with resolutions in excess of its original 900p accessible with no external hacks required—just the emulator and your own legally-dumped copy of TotK.
Yuzu’s announcement also mentions “60fps, cheats, & more with mods,” and that’s where things do get a bit hairier. At the time of writing, it still appears that the only TotK 60fps patch is the one hosted on the NewYuzuPiracy subreddit. If the name didn’t clue you in, this is a very, ahem, laissez faire community with no official connection to the developers of Yuzu, and that 60fps patch is almost certainly based on the Tears of the Kingdom leak from a few weeks ago.

Critical Role’s campaigns are like children: they seem nice, but I couldn’t eat a whole one. I started watching both of its previous campaigns with the best of intentions, and a dozen or so episodes later I dropped out. Those four-hour weekly recordings are too much, especially when you sit through one devoted to a shopping trip and the next episode begins with someone saying, “I’d like to go back to that magic item shop.”
Thankfully for me and the rest of the short-attention-span squad, there’s now an official edited version. Critical Role Abridged takes those four-hour episodes, trims the fat, and reduces them down to manageable single-hour videos—or close to it. The longest one so far has been the debut, which stretched to a leisurely hour-twenty-three.
Removing the introductions, ads, table chatter, and combat waffling makes Critical Role move along at a much brisker clip. A few deep lore references that will only be appreciated by people who’ve watched previous seasons are also cut, as is a fair chunk of the dice-rolling.
